The last message written was God telling me to wait on Him rather than trying to handle projects myself. Guess what?? God just gave me a sequel to that message!
This was the last paragraph of that message:
“He is telling me to WAIT right now. I don’t know for how long or why, but I know what He put into my spirit so I will wait on Him. He has an awfully consistent track record with me! How about you? Are you in a waiting season too? Maybe we need to remember Psalm 27:14!
Psalm 27:14 Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD! (NKJV)"
As I was driving to Chase City this morning, my mind was still focused on WAIT, and I wondered if that word was an acronym from God. I began to insert words for each letter, and after about 6-7 minutes, this is what God gave me:
W = We
A = Are
I = In
T = Transition
When God is asking us to WAIT, He is saying that We Are In Transition. He has everything under control, but He is changing us while He is working on our circumstances. But God, why? Why are you changing us? Can't you just handle things and leave us the way we are? What does waiting do for us personally??

When transition takes place during our waiting, it means there is movement or development from one form or type to another. So God is moving us or developing us from where/what we were before to where/what He wants us to be.
Now look at the definitions for the words “courage” and “strength” in the scripture above;
“Be of good courage”:
Merriam-Webster = mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty
Dictionary.com = the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery.
Strong’s Concordance = to fasten upon; to siege, be strong
God is telling us to stay close to Him; fasten ourselves to him; be strong; keep our mind and spirit strong to face what’s ahead with bravery.
“And He shall strengthen your heart”:
God is saying that He is making us stronger and more effective to do what He has assigned us to do. He has us in transition in order to make us more alert, to establish us where He wants us, and to fortify us in our physical and mental strength.

We all know that God is working on our behalf ALL THE TIME! This scripture helps us to understand what He is doing for us. Not that we really need to know, but it does help me to have some idea of why I have to wait. It is not always about what God is handling in each of our situations, but it is also about what He is doing in and through us. I do believe that is worth the wait!

Thanks for stopping by,
Rachel
