Light Up the Sky!

As I sit on this “deck of peace” looking out over the mountains and the partly clearing skies, I see on one of the distant mountain ranges a group of what looks like residential homes. Even though we could see this range on Thursday and Friday, we could not see any homes. Last night we did see lights there which revealed the evidence of home life.
If you look closely in this picture, you will see the white homes which became evident today because of the sunlight shining down on them. When the clouds returned, we could not see them.

As I was soaking in God’s message, the song “Light Up the Sky” by The Afters began playing. The words just seemed to fit the moment. (Thanks, God!)
When I'm feeling all alone
There's so far to go
The signs are no where on this road
Guiding me home
When the night is closing in
It's falling on my skin
Oh God will you come close?
Light light light up the sky
You light up up the sky to show me
That you are with me
I can't deny
No I can't deny
That you are right here with me
You've opened my eyes
So I can see you all around me
Your love is rushing in
So I run, straight into your arms
You're the bright and morning sun
God opened the sky for His Son-Light to show me what I couldn’t see before - He is right here with me. If His light is not shining in and through me, it means I have spiritual blindness. What is that?? It is a "condition that an individual has when they are unable to see God, or understand His message. We must remember that Jesus is our light, and cling to His truth so that we are never blinded to God."
There are times when I can’t see or understand. My spiritual eyes need to be opened again as I move beyond the lusts of the flesh. Grieving is very important but just know that God will give you ways or people to keep you balanced and remembering that He is your focus and will never leave you nor forsake you!! His light is in me and you, and He is reminding me of that fact. He is always with and in me.
When I reached this point in this message, the following song began to play:
“You Will Be Praised” by Darlene Zschech
Though I walk through darkest valleys
There's no fear for You are with me
You have held me through the fire
Jesus You are here with me
Even when my heart grows weary
You are my hiding place
And Your kindness draws me closer
I will rest here in Your strength
You will be praised
Here with You my cup runs over
You are everything I need
There is nothing like Your presence
You are the song I sing
For You have been my portion
You are my hiding place
Oh my soul will praise
In the darkest of nights
Oh my soul will praise
I will bless Your name
With all of my strength
I will bless your name

I thank God for this place, its quietness, and His timing to reveal these messages to me. I pray that others will find them helpful as well. What an orchestration by God this morning!
Thanks for stopping by,
Rachel
