Over the weekend, Mike and I took our first hike since COVID19 began. We went to our favorite hiking "stand-by" - Occoneechee State Park. Come along and share this with us!

Look what greeted us as we entered the trail. The Trinity! God, the Father; God, the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit. I knew with a greeting like that, God would treat us to several interesting sights.

How beautiful is this perfectly rounded spider's web, ready for trapping dinner. It is really hard to see unless you are at the right angle to block the glare. Amazing!

Here is a pine-covered part of the trail. There are different surfaces on which to walk as you'll see below.

A sandy surface.

Gravel and natural surface.

A termite infested tree stump.

Beautiful ferns!

Who's home is this?

Mike says it is pretty deep in there!

We made it out of the woods! And this is what we saw!

A field of wildflowers!
Isn't it just like God to show this to me? We must start our journeys through this life with Him and Jesus and the Holy Spirit who lives in us! He will be with us and not forsake us - through things that trap us; paths of different surfaces which might trip us up; the worrisome things that can "eat away" at us; the life-producing green pastures; the mysterious holes that He will keep us out of; the friends/family who will live life together to the fullest; and the exquisite beauty of His creation.

Thanks for stopping by,
Rachel
