The Beauty of His Holiness

During my reading on July 29 from Jesus Calling (Sarah Young, 2011), this captured my entire being:

Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name: worship the Lord in the beauty of

Holiness. Psalm 29:2

“I created beauty to declare the existence of My holy Being. A magnificent rose, a hauntingly glorious sunset, oceanic splendor – all these things were meant to proclaim My Presence in the world.

How precious are My children who are awed by nature’s beauty; this opens them up to my holy Presence. Even before you knew Me personally, you responded to My creation with wonder. This is a gift, and it carries responsibility with it. Declare My glorious Being to the world.”

And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole

earth is full of his glory. Isaiah 6:3

How many times have you said or heard someone say, “Look at that sunrise/sunset! How can anyone see that and not believe there is a God!” You have just declared His glorious Being; the beauty of His Holiness with those words.

As each day goes by, be intentional about seeing His beauty and seeing Him. Even if there are no flowers blooming, there are hummingbirds and other birds. There are such a variety of green leaves on the trees. The sky is constantly changing when the different types of clouds move through the atmosphere. The stars are a glorious wonder when we try to imagine how many there are. What are the tree shadows showing you; or the shadows on the lake as clouds pass overhead? In the mornings, I see the dew drops on the bottom of the white fence next to our yard and what a thing of beauty they are.

From time to time, I share these pictures with you and declare the Beauty of His Holiness. I pray that you see His Beauty outside your window throughout the year.

This is where it all began for me! Share it with others that they too will be intentional about not only seeing God’s beauty but seeing God and knowing that He does exists.
