Today was glorious with sun shining, temps in the high 70's/low 80's, a slight breeze blowing, and the birds singing so brightly and happily. Mike and I had a picnic at Occoneechee State Park this afternoon. It was glorious to be enjoying our Father's World!
After we ate, we walked to the water and began taking "THE BEST" artistic picture of the late afternoon. Well, around 100 pictures later, we decided we had enough! How can we take the BEST artistic picture when God is ever-changing the scene?!

When we returned home, I put on my headphones for some praise music, and what did I hear but "This is My Father's World"!! I have shared this, before but this is the version I like. This is My Father's World
So enjoy some of our pictures as you read/listen to this beautiful hymn about this earthly home which our Father created just for us!

This is my Father's world, And to my listening ears All nature sings, and round me rings The music of the spheres.

This is my Father's world: I rest me in the thought Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas-- His hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Father's world: The birds their carols raise, The morning light, the lily white, Declare their Maker's praise. This is my Father's world: He shines in all that's fair; In the rustling grass, I hear Him pass, He speaks to me everywhere.

This is my Father's world: O let me ne'er forget That though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet. This is my Father's world: Why should my heart be sad? The Lord is King: let the heavens ring! God reigns; let earth be glad!

This bears repeating: the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet. This is my Father's world: Why should my heart be sad? The Lord is King: let the heavens ring! God reigns; let earth be glad!
Oh how my soul rejoices in you, Lord! Let us never forget that You are in charge, and let the earth be glad!! Thank you for reading/listening and for sharing this time in our Father's World! It certainly boosted the souls and spirits of Mike and me. I pray it will do the same for you.
Take a step outside into Your Father's World!
Thanks for stopping by,
Rachel
