Already in My Hands?

I have learned that when I read the same scripture or devotional theme in 2-3 different places in a short period of time, God is trying to tell me something. This week was no exception. I have read 2 devotionals which seem to be telling me not to worry because I have what I need in me to do what has been laid in front of me. Let me explain.

In my previous post, I referred to the puppet ministry which Mike and I (and Fran) have been sharing with the children in the Centenary PreSchool program for the past 5 weeks. The puppets are telling the kids about various Bible stories, such as how God created everything on earth - creatures under the sea, birds and fowl of the air, cattle, and the beasts - and how Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt - complete with plagues!
As we should have expected, the enemy is now attacking this ministry because I am struggling to come up with new story ideas. He has been trying to undermine the ministry with thoughts of inadequacy and failure directed toward me. “You know you’re responsible for this”; “You started this ministry because you thought it would be a fun way to teach the kids. Now what are you going to do for the next 40 weeks or so?”; “If you can’t follow through, they’ll be upset with you”; “Everyone is counting on you”.
You get the idea? Anyone know what I am talking about??

This past week, I read these devotionals, and I know that God has a message for me!
Devotional #1:
“Everything you need to accomplish the dreams and goals in your heart is already in your hands, and only by investing it today will you have what you need to accomplish tomorrow’s hopes and aspirations.”
(“Commanding Your Morning”, Cindy Trimm, page 242)
Devotional #2:
Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. (KJV)
“We can choose to think about what God can do instead of what we cannot do...If we continually think about the difficulty of our situation, we may end up in despair, and that means we feel unable to find a way out….But the Bible tells us that God always provides the way out (1 Corinthians 10:13). Even though you might not see the way out right now, one does exist and God will reveal it as you trust Him.”
(“The Power of Being Thankful”, Joyce Meyer, page 235)

So God is telling me that I already have what I need to carry out this ministry with Mike & Fran. OK, God, help me to find these answers. If I already have what I need, what/where are the new ideas?? I know in my spirit that this is one of those times when I just have to let it go (Whew, that’s hard!), and allow You to give me the answers/ideas AND/OR give them through someone else. And to give me peace about it.

Have faith by trusting in Him! Praise God!!
Thanks for stopping by,
Rachel
