A Year Ago, Time Stood Still

It was a year ago today that I had the biopsy completed, but I wouldn’t know the results until a week later, Nov 27 – the day before Thanksgiving. Our Thanksgiving plans had changed from going to DE to remaining in town (and missing our grandchildren!). That week of waiting was difficult, but I tried to focus on other things.

However, I was encouraged by the devotional from Jesus Calling from the day before, Nov. 19:
Leave outcomes up to me. Follow me wherever I lead, without worrying about how it will all turn out…Keep your focus on the path just before you, leaving outcomes up to Me.
One of the scriptures for this reading was from Psalm 27:13-14:
I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
The year of 2025 has been one of unknowns, trusting God, receiving love from so many supporters, and battling the reactions from my body to the procedures and medications. It has been really hard to keep my eyes focused on Him at times. (Sigh!) Sometimes it was simply really HARD. But earlier this month, I received the "all clear" message that I am cancer free!

I am here to tell you that God has kept me here for purpose. I know He will lead me into it. Because of Jesus and what He did for us/for me, I can’t help but praise Him and give Him all the glory for my survival.
Here is an excerpt from Jesus Calling on Nov 27, the day I received the diagnosis:
A life of praise and thankfulness becomes a life filled with miracles. Instead of trying to be in control, you focus on Me and what I am doing. This is the power of praise: centering your entire being in Me. This is how I created you to live for I made you in My own image. Enjoy abundant life by overflowing with praise and thankfulness.

I value each and every day because I KNOW how much God has blessed me. Let us all give God the glory for every thing He has done for each of us! Let us all continue to encourage others in their journeys - trusting Him and leaving the outcomes up to Him!
Thanks for stopping by,
Rachel
